Join us as Farrow Partnership participates in this year’s Doors Open Toronto event. We have worked hard to harness the creative opportunities that come from the process of discovery that designers and their clients take together. In the spirit of taking this journey together, we are opening our offices so that everyone can see first hand what makes us tick.

Doors Open Toronto is an annual citywide celebration featuring free access to architecturally, historically, culturally and socially significant buildings. In recognition of heightened public awareness of architecture and the architects who have shaped this city, Doors Open Toronto is going back to its roots: architecture is the theme and central focus in 2010.

Located on the top floor of a vintage industrial building in the heart of Toronto’s Little Italy, our workspace benefits from a 360-degree view of the city. This panoramic view invites expansive thoughts, while raising awareness of its relationship to a larger world. Re-use of the warm, natural materials provides a sense of history. Movement through the space reveals breathe-able working areas that inspire big thinking, while accommodating various modes of participation. Model-making, at the core of our working method, is treated as interactive theatre happening at centre-stage location. An organic lighting arrangement evokes the bubbling up of bright ideas. In place of rigid partitions there are plug-in bar surfaces and informal seating areas that serve as soft edges. This approach re-imagines the board room as naturally permeable space. The office celebrates and supports what Farrow Partnership Architects does best - deliver reliable magic
