Farrow Partnership launches CauseHealth.org

TORONTO, MAY 18, 2012 - In keeping with our objective to actively influence the future of design as it impacts global health and prosperity, we have launched www.CauseHealth.org a website dedicated to "discovering 8,000 causes of health".  The intent of this site is to be an open source for sharing ideas, news and links to research. We invite you to post your thoughts and to read the contributions of others.

The term “cause health” is rooted in the concept of salutogenesis. This term and model was conceived by Dr. Aaron Antonovsky, who combined the Latin word salus, meaning health with the Greek genesis, meaning origin. In recent years, Dr. Alan Dilani, Head, Research Center, Design and Health, Sweden, has become widely recognized as the leader in applying salutogenesis to creating healthy built environments. He emphasizes the “multiple dimensions of health, including physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual and social well-being.”  More here.
