Tye Farrow appointed to the University of Toronto's College of Electors

TORONTO, December 9, 2011 - Tye Farrow, senior partner, Farrow Partnership Architects, has been appointed to the University of Toronto’s prestigious governance body, the College of Electors. The College of Electors comprises 47 members representing alumni from the University’s Faculties and Colleges. The primary role of the College is to elect the Chancellor, the head of the University, and the eight alumni members to serve on the Governing Council of the University of Toronto.

Appointment to the College of Electors is reserved for those who understand the University of Toronto, support its mission and appreciate the current context in which the University operates.

Alumni serving on the College of Electors are involved with their respective Faculties in a meaningful way; are experienced with recruitment and selection processes; and are knowledgeable about governance, ideally within a university setting. College members are expected to develop an understanding of the Governing Council (the senior governing body that oversees the academic, business and student affairs of the University) and its Boards and Committees.
